Here’s a list of 386 unique and popular dog names with meaning both for male and female dogs.
I have spent plenty of hours searching through the internet and collecting dog names that are unique and popular.
But before choosing a name for your 4-legged buddy, here are my two cents.
Choose fun and meaningful name but easy to pronounce and understand.
Dogs are more likely to respond to names ending with ‘ee’ sounds like Bailey, Charlie, Cody, or Harry.
Dogs also respond well to “S” sounds and hard consonant sounds like a hard G in Gunner or a hard C sound like Cooper.
Also, try to avoid names that scare people like Butcher, Killer, Lucifer, etc.
My last advice will be to avoid changing your dog’s name after 2-3 months once you have named him/her.
Whatever you name him, I hope you two have plenty of fun together! Best of luck to you and your furry friend!
